Irene's Christmas Cheese Dip image

It is worth the trouble to use the fresh ingredients. The red and green peppers add the colors of Christmas.

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 pounds processed cheese food (eg. Velveeta)
2 onions, diced
3 tomatoes, chopped
6 jalapeno peppers, seeded and minced
1 red bell pepper, diced
½ green bell pepper, diced

Steps:

  • Melt the cheese in the top of a double-boiler over medium heat.
  • Add the onions, tomatoes, jalapenos, red and green bell peppers.
  • Mix well and heat for additional 10 minutes.
