Number Of Ingredients 4

3 cup(s) flour
1 tablespoon(s) baking powder
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
1 cup(s) warm water

Steps:

  • Combine dry ingredients in a bowl. Add warm water in small amounts and knead dough, (with the heel of your hand)untill soft but not sticky. Adjust flour or water as needed. Cover bowl and let stand for about 15 minutes. Pull off large egg -size balls of dough and roll out into fairly thin rounds. Fry rounds in hot oil until bubbles appear on the dough, turn over and fry other side till golden Serve hot. Try brushing on honey, or make into an Indian Taco. Buttermilk Fry Bread Recipe: Substitute buttermilk instead of the water. Follow the same recipe.
