Indian Chicken Tikka Skewers image

Serve this delicious chicken with your favorite Indian rice and raita. Serve with some garlic naan. YUM!

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 1/2 pound(s) chicken thighs, boneless/skinless
1/4 cup(s) onion, chopped
2 clove(s) garlic, crushed
1 tablespoon(s) fresh ginger, grated
2 tablespoon(s) fresh lemon juice
3 teaspoon(s) ground coriander
3 teaspoon(s) ground cumin
3 teaspoon(s) garam masala
1/3 cup(s) plain yogurt
1 teaspoon(s) salt

Steps:

  • Cut chicken into 1 1/4 inch cubes. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water.
  • In a food processor, add onion, garlic, ginger, lemon juice and spices until finely mixed. Add yogurt and salt and just combine.
  • In a plastic bag, coat chicken thoroughly with marinade and allow to marinate for several hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
  • Remove chicken from marinade and place on skewers. Grill chicken turning once until chicken is cooked through.
