When I serve hummus, many people will ask "what's hummus"? The best way I can describe it is to say "it's similar to bean dip". The first time I had hummus was in a greek restaurant in Fargo, ND and I was hooked. They had it on the menu as an appetizer served with warm pita bread. Number Of Ingredients 9

2 can(s) canned chickpeas, rinsed & drained
1/4 c tahini sesame butter
1/2 c water
3 Tbsp olive oil
2 clove garlic, minced
3 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
3/4 tsp table salt
1 Tbsp ground cumin
1 dash(es) cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • 1. Place all ingredients into a food processor (or blender) and process until very smooth. Refrigerate in an air right container for 7-10 days.
