HOW TO TOAST PECAN HALVES image

We have several Pecan Trees and this year they are loaded. I love cooking with Pecans and I like using Toasted Pecans better than raw one. The taste is so rich.

10 cup(s) raw pecan halves
1 stick(s) butter, unsalted, optional

Steps:

  • Pre-heat oven to 250 Degrees. Line a 17x12 metal baking pan with parchment paper. Pour Pecans in a single layer on paper and place in oven. Check on pecans often and stir them around. Check more frequently after 15 minutes. keep a keen smell out for the aroma of them cooking. Do not over parch, should be toasted in 30 minutes. May need to taste for toasted crispness. Can stir 1/2 stick melted butter over pecans or leave them bare, your choice.
