Hot Chocolate Nog image

Another option for your holiday nog.

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 qt purchased eggnog
2 c whole milk
1/2 c chocolate syrup
1 c bourbon
1/4 tsp nutmeg, plus more for garnish

Steps:

  • 1. Pour the eggnog, milk and chocolate syrup into a medium pan and place over medium heat. Stir constantly and bring to just under a boil.
  • 2. Look for small bubbles on the sides of the pan. Remove from heat and stir in the bourbon and nutmeg.
  • 3. Ladle the hot chocolate into 8 mugs.
  • 4. Sprinkle with additional nutmeg on top to garnish and serve hot.
  • 5. Note: You can leave out the bourbon before serving the kids, but most of the merrymakers will want the "nog".
