Hot Buttered Rum with Ginger and Cinnamon image

In our take on this traditional winter drink, a pat of ginger-infused butter floats on top of a piping hot mixture of dark rum, water and ginger syrup.

4 tablespoons Ginger Simple Syrup for Hot Honey Lemonade
1 cup dark rum
4 cinnamon sticks
4 cups boiling water
4 tablespoons Ginger Butter

Steps:

  • Divide simple syrup among four heat-proof glasses or mugs, and add 1/4 cup rum, 1 cinnamon stick, and 1 cup boiling water to each. Stir well to combine.
  • Top each serving with 1 tablespoon ginger butter. Serve immediately.
