HOT BITTERSWEET FUDGE SAUCE image

Yield 2 cups

Number Of Ingredients 6

6 tbs. unsalted butter, in small pieces
2/3 cup granulated sugar
2/3 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2/3 cup whipping cream
1/8 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Combine butter, granluated sugar, brown sugar, cocoa, cream and salt in heavy medium size saucepan. Cook over moderate heat until butter is melted, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low and continue to stir, scraping bottom and sides of the pan until the suger is melted and the sauce is smooth. Serve immediately or place in wide mouth container in refrigerator up to 1 month. Reheat by placing container in pan of simmering water or double boiler.
