Homemade Spaghetti Sauce image

I like to make things that are easy on the wallet and delicious on the pallet. This is one of my favorite go to sauces. I hope you all enjoy it.

Number Of Ingredients 7

28 oz canned plum tomatoes with basil
6 oz tomato paste
14 oz water
1 tsp garlic powder or fresh
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp dried basil
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Place tomatoes with juices in a large sauce pan and using your hands or a masher gently crush tomatoes.
  • 2. Add water tomato paste and seasonings to now crushed tomatoes. Stir and bring to a simmer.
  • 3. Serve with favorite pasta or use in any dish requiring spaghetti sauce.
  • 4. For a chunky sauce you can add 16 oz package of sliced mushrooms and 1 lb. of cooked hamburger or Italian sausage.
