Number Of Ingredients 17

1 large onion, diced
3 large cloves garlic
2 Italian sausages, mild
2 Italian sausages, spicey
1 1/2 jars canned tomatoes, 4-5 cups
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
2 teaspoons dried basil
1 tablespoon pasta sauce herbs mix.
2 pounds lean hamburger
1/2 onion, chopped finely
2 cups ceasar croutons, soaked in milk
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped finely
1-2 teaspoon dried basil
2 eggs
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 large garlic

Steps:

  • Saute the onion, cloves garlic, crushed and the sausages until the onions are softened. Add the tomatoes, parsley, basil and italian herbs. Simmer, stirring often for 30-60 minutes. Meatballs: Lightly stir together all ingredients for the meatballs, working it too much makes the meatballs to dense. Form into meatballs, scooping up as much as you want in one ball, then patting it lightly into shape. Fry in vegetable oil and add to the tomatoe sauce, which is simmering. Take the sausages out of the sauce and slice them (the mild ones with a straight cut and the hot ones at a diagonal, just so you can choose if you have a preference.) Brown them in the meatball fry pan and put them back into the sauce. Deglaze the fry pan with 1/2 cup white wine and add to the sauce. Enjoy!
