Corn pudding is a specialty on the Eastern shore of Maryland, where I grew up. This recipe from a friend is a mainstay at our Christmas meals.

- In a large bowl, combine sugar and cornstarch. Whisk in the eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon until smooth. Stir in corn. , Pour into a greased 9-in. square baking pan. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 45-50 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
