Homemade Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup image

Recipe credited to: www.tammysrecipes.com If you save your broth from baking chicken, this is the perfect thing to make w/it. And a real $money$ saver! Blogger suggests freezing into 1 1/2 cup portions (=1 can).

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 1/2 c chicken broth
1/2 tsp poultry seasoning
1/4 tsp garlic pwd
1/4 tsp onion pwd
1/8 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp parsley flakes
dash(es) paprika
1 1/2 c milk
3/4 c flour

Steps:

  • 1. In medium-sized saucepan, boil chicken broth, 1/2 cup of the milk, and the seasonings for a minute or two (longer if using fresh onions or garlic).
  • 2. In a bowl, whisk together the remaining 1 cup of milk and flour. Add to boiling mixture and continue whisking briskly until mixture boils and thickens.
