HOME GROUND BURGERS WITH BACON CHEESE & THYME image

Yield 4 burgers

Number Of Ingredients 13

6 oz bacon, chopped
1 C finely chopped onion
3 T thinly sliced garlic
1T fresh thyme
2 lbs boneless beef chuck, cut into 1" cubes
2T worcestershire
q tsp salt
1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper
8 slices cheddar cheese
4 sesame seed hamburgger rolls, slightly toasted
1 1/2 C shredded iceberg lettuce
8 thin slices tomato
Condiments to taste

Steps:

  • Heat large skillet over med heat. Add bacon, and cook until crisp. Add onion and cook until soft. Add garlic, and cook until frangrant and soft but not brown. Add thyme and toss to combine. Remove from heat and cool to room temp Place beef in a large bowl. Pour bacom mixture over beef. Drizzle with Worcstershire, salt and pepper. Toss to combine. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour. Using home meat grinder, grind to medium grind. Form into 4 patties . Cover and refrigerate 60 minutes. Grill, add cheddar and other items
