1/4 cup margarine, melted (or butter)
1 tablespoon molasses
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 teaspoons vanilla
10 tablespoons dry skim milk powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • In a bowl, combine melted margarine, molasses, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
  • Stir well.
  • In a separate bowl, combine milk powder, baking powder and salt.
  • Stir into first mixture.
  • Add wheat germ and walnuts.
  • Stir just enough to blend.
  • Spread in lightly greased 8 x 8 inch baking pan.
  • Bake 30 minutes.
