Healthy Ferrero Rocher Truffles image

Number Of Ingredients 6

2/3 cup roasted hazelnuts
2 tablespoons raw cacao powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon sea salt
3 tablespoons maple syrup
1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts to garnish

Steps:

  • Add hazelnuts into a food processor (keeping 18 aside for the centre) and blend until chopped into fine pieces
  • Add cacao, vanilla and salt and blend again.
  • Add maple syrup and blend until the ingredients start to stick together; this can take a minute, depending on the power of your processor.
  • Roll into small bite sized balls, insert at the centre one hazelnut, and roll over chopped hazelnuts to cover the balls.
  • Place in freezer for 30 minutes to harden.
