Healthy Banana Waffles Recipe - (4.6/5) image

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 ripe banana, mashed
1 egg and 2 egg whites, beaten
1 3/4 cup skim milk
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup white flour
1 Tbsp baking powder
1 Tbsp Stevia
1/4 tsp salt

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat your waffle iron and coat with non-stick cooking spray. 2. In a medium size bowl, mash banana. Add eggs, milk, applesauce and vanilla extract and whisk together until combined. In a large bowl, whisk together flours, baking powder, Stevia and salt. Beat egg mixture in with the flour mixture until only a few lumps remain. 3. Carefully spoon the batter onto the pre-heated waffle iron and cook until golden brown. Repeat until batter is finished.
