Hash Browns in the Waffle Iron image

Trolling the internet looking for the meaning of hashmarks(stripes on sleeves of uniform from the service) checking on a photo of my grandfather, and came across this unrelated article and thought I would share it with everyone -because it is such a clever idea. Your kids will love these.

Number Of Ingredients 3

2 pound(s) bag of frozen tater tots, or regular hash brown potatoes or shredded type
- salt , pepper and garlic powder to taste
- ketchup

Steps:

  • Spray your waffle iron generously with cooking spray. Place tater tots on waffle iron to cover each section. Close lid ,pressing down slowly.
  • After 1 minute, open the iron and add tots to any empty spaces, as needed. Close lid and cook until crispy and golden brown -like waffles.
  • Remove from waffle iron. Salt and season lightly. Serve with ketchup, if desired.Enjoy!
