GYRO CUCUMBER SAUCE image

Yield 8-10 gyros

Number Of Ingredients 13

1/3 cup cucumber chopped, next
crush it to pulp (throw away skin, seeds
and scooped out pulp. After pulping with
a food processor drain off most pulp juice
and throw juice away.)
1/3 teaspoon dried dill weed
6 oz. regular plain yogurt (Do not use
low-fat)
1 ½ teaspoon sugar or "Splenda"
Pinch of allspice powder
1/8 teaspoon celery salt
Small Pinch of cayenne pepper
Optional:1 tablespoon cream or canned milk

Steps:

  • Place everything in a blender to blend thoroughly. Refrigerate sauce overnight for it to reset (thicken) before using. Cover tight and store any leftover sauce in refrigerator until next use, up to one week.
