Gulf Shore Baked Shrimp image

When I was first introduced to this fabulous dish I was sure that I wasn't going to like it. But being a guest in friends home I surely wasn't going to turn my nose up and refuse to eat it. One taste and I was hooked. It reminds me a bit of shrimp scampi but better. Living on the coast of S.E. Georgia, shrimp is plentiful year...

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 lb fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 stick butter, melted
1 c mayonaisse - (dukes or hellmans)
1 tsp tony chachere's creole seasoning
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp old bay seasoning

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place shrimp in a shallow baking dish. Pour melted butter over shrimp. Sprinkle with garlic powder and Tony's creole seasoning. Spread mayonnaise over shrimp to cover.
  • 2. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until shrimp are pink and sauce is bubbly. Serve over Zatarains rice pilaf.
