Grilled Pico Burgers image

For those that like food with a Mexican flavor, these burgers are for you. They're packed with flavor. The patties are filled with pico de gallo veggies and spices. Number Of Ingredients 15

1/4 c minced red onion
1/2 c minced red tomatoes
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 Tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
1 Tbsp minced garlic
2 Tbsp hot sauce, I used Cholula chili lime hot sauce
1 1/2 lb ground beef for burgers
6 to 8 slice Monterey jack cheese
sliced avocado
sour cream
burger buns
salsa

Steps:

  • 1. Finely mince the tomatoes and onions. Chop the cilantro. Add to a stand mixer with the ground beef, onions, tomatoes, cumin, peppers, hot sauce, cilantro, and garlic.
  • 2. I used my mixer to make the burger mixture.
  • 3. Then form into patties.
  • 4. Hubby grilled them for 7 to 10 minutes on each side.
  • 5. Top them with the Monterey jack cheese.
  • 6. We put them on burger rolls and topped them with avocado and sour cream.
  • 7. Hubby topped his with diced fresh jalapenos from the garden. I put a little salsa on mine.
