Grilled Apples image

Decided to try this on a whim one night. They tend to come out a bit crunchier than if you were to bake them but grilling them just seemed appropriate.

Number Of Ingredients 6

- skewers (bamboo works best)
5 - apples, cored and sliced
2 teaspoon(s) brown sugar, firmly packed
2 teaspoon(s) granulated sugar
2 teaspoon(s) ground cinnamon
1 stick(s) butter, melted

Steps:

  • Core and slice the apples as you see fit. Skewer the apple slices. You want to try and get between nine and 10 slices per skewer.
  • Melt the butter. Add brown sugar, granulated sugar, and cinnamon to the melted butter and stir. Brush over the skewered apples.
  • Grill each side of the apples over medium low heat. The sugar should just start caramelizing. Brush any remaining sauce or the apples just before you take them.
  • Serve as it is, with ice cream, or with your dessert of choice.
