Green Tea Cookies image

If you like the taste and the bitterness of green tea, please don't be afraid to add the whole 1/4 cup or even more! The dough will turn green, not too sweet, yum!

1/2 cup butter (softened)
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt (or less)
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup green tea powder (matcha powder)
1/4 cup white chocolate chips
1/4 cup chocolate chips
1/3 cup macadamia nuts (chopped)

Steps:

  • Preheat over to 350°F.
  • Cream butter, sugar, egg and vanilla together.
  • Mix flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt together.
  • Mix dry and wet ingredients.
  • Mix in chips and nuts.
  • Shape into a golf ball and place dough on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 10 minutes.
