GREEN BEANS WITH WATER CHESTNUTS image

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 16-ounce bags green beans, washed and trimmed
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup chopped shallots
2 8-ounce cans sliced water chestnuts
Salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of water to boil. Add green beans. Cook for 3-4 minutes. Drain. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shallots. Saute for 2-3 minutes. Add water chestnuts. Season with salt and pepper. Toss green beans with shallots and water chestnuts.
