GREEN BEANS WITH TOASTED ALMONDS image

Number Of Ingredients 4

3 cupsfresh green beans, trimmed if desired (about 10 ounces)
1/4 cupsliced almonds, toasted
1 tablespoonolive oil
1/2 teaspoonsalad and vegetable seasoning with coriander and annatto (about 1/2 of a packet)* or 1/2 teaspoon Homemade Spice Mix (recipe, page ???)

Steps:

  • 1. In a covered large saucepan, cook beans in a small amount of boiling water for 8 to 10 minutes or until crisp-tender. Drain well. Return to hot pan. Stir in almonds, olive oil, and seasoning. Heat through. Makes 6 (about 1/2-cup) servings. *Test Kitchen Tip:Look for this seasoning blend at a market that specializes in Hispanic foods.
