Green Beans & Rice image

This is one of my grandma's recipes. I served it with grilled chicken the other day and it was a big hit at our house! Hope you enjoy, compliments of Granny!

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 pound(s) fresh or frozen green beans
1 tablespoon(s) butter
1 teaspoon(s) salt
1/2 teaspoon(s) pepper
1/2 cup(s) finely chopped onion
2 cup(s) hot cooked rice
1 cup(s) sour cream
1 teaspoon(s) dill weed
1 dash(es) salt
1 teaspoon(s) worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon(s) lemon juice concentrate
6 slice(s) crisp cooked bacon, crumbled

Steps:

  • Steam or boil green beans until crisp tender.
  • Melt butter in a skillet, add onion and sauté until onion is wilted. Drain and combine with hot cooked rice.
  • Add cooked beans, salt and pepper to rice mixture. Keep warm.
  • In a small bowl blend sour cream, dill, salt, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce. Serve over beans and rice, sprinkle with crumbled bacon.
