Grandma's Irish Bread image

Number Of Ingredients 8

3 cups white flour
1 cups sugar
3 tablespoons baking powder
0.5 teaspoons salt
1 units eggs
1.25 cups milk
3 handfuls raisins
1 handfuls raisins

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Grease and flour a round springform pan (cheese cake style).
  • Mix dry ingredients together. Then add egg & milk. Mixture will be thick & sticky. Then stir in raisins.
  • Spread into pan using the back of a spoon. Bless the top of the bread (a must for grandma or it won't rise).
  • Bake @ 425 for 15 minutes. Then turn oven down to 350 degrees and cook for 30 minutes.
