Grandmas Banana Nut Bread image

This is a thick, heavy, and kinda sticky banana nut bread that is great eaten at room temperature or heated with a pat of butter on top. This recipe will not disappoint. It's great for the Holidays, parties, dessert, and snacks. ` - Grandma's Banana Nut Bread

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 1/2 cups Sugar
3/4 cups butter or margarine room temperature
3 whole Eggs large
1 cup milk
2 cups self-rising flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups bananas over ripe( 3 medium bananas) mashed
1/2 cup pecans chopped pieces

Steps:

  • "Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream sugar, butter, eggs , and vanilla together. Add flour alternately with milk while beating with an electric mixer. Mix in bananas and pecans. Bake in a greased loaf pan for one hour or in a greased 9 x 13 pan for 30-35 minutes."
