Grandma Lil's Waldorf Salad image

Number Of Ingredients 6

6-8 good sized apples, chopped
cup 1/2 to 1 good quality mayonnaise, depending on how wet you like the salad
2 cups Craisins
1 cup raisins or dried chopped tropical fruit mix
1 cup finely chopped celery
1 cup medium chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Mix the apples and the mayonnaise together first, then add the other ingredients after that mixing in-between to get an even spread.
  • If you're not going to immediately serve this salad, make sure to place back into the refrigerator, you do not want the mayo to separate! ick!
  • For a little spice, you could add a teaspoon of curry powder to the mayo before mixing it with the apples. I don't use much mayo, I don't like a heavy Waldorf salad. Just crunchy and tasty! Best wishes!
