GRANDMA CARTER'S POUND CAKE image

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 lb butter (room temperature)
3 cups sugar
6 eggs (room temperature)
4 cups flour
3/4 cups whole milk
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • In stand mixer, cream butter with sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, to butter-sugar mixture. Add one cup flour, followed by 1/4 cup milk. Repeat until all milk and flour is mixed in (start with flour, end with flour). Add extracts. Butter and flour Bundt pan. Put into cold oven, set to 300 degrees. Cook for 1 hours 30 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes before turning out of Bundt pan.
