Steps:
- Cook noodles per package directions in a large pot.
- In a large skillet, melt butter or heat oil and saute the red onion about 5-10 minutes. Set aside, and then saute the celery for 10-15 minutes.
- Drain noodles, return to large pot, add sauteed red onion and celery. Add tomato sauce and diced tomatoes. Break bacon into 1 inch pieces and put into pot. Add pepper to taste.
- Stir well and simmer for about 20-25 minutes. Let stand for about 10 minutes serve with warm bread.
