Number Of Ingredients 18

1 pkg yeast
1 C. warm water
1 t. sugar
1 t. garlic salt
1 t. dried oregano
3 T. Olive of vegetable oil
3 to 3-1/2 C. AP or bread flour
Yellow or Stone-ground mustard
1 diced bell pepper, diced
1/2 to 1 onion, diced
1 can saurkraut
2 to 4 brats
12 oz. beer
1 baking potato, diced
Cheddar cheese
Mozzerella cheese
Fresh basil leaves, whole or cut into strips
Pepper

Steps:

  • Combine yeast, sugar, and water and let sit. In food processor add garlic salt, oregano, and flour. Pulse to combine. With motor running add oil and yeast mixture. Process until dough forms a ball, adding more flour or water as necessary. Place dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover and let rise for 45 minutes to 1 hour. While dough is rising, boil the saurkraut, the brats, and the onion in the beer. Boil the potatos in water until par cooked and then saute in butter and seasonings (your choice). If desired, removed the brats from the beer and grill to desired doneness, then slice. Preheat oven with pizza stone to 550 degrees. Top pizza dough with mustard, then the saurkraut and the onions. Add the bell pepper, potato pieces, brat slices, cheeses, and fresh ground pepper. Place on pizza stone in pre-heated oven for 8 to 10 minutes. If desired, add basil leaves during the last minutes of cooking. Alternately, cook the pizza in the oven until almost done, then move the pizza to an outside grill to finish. Place basil leaves on the pizza at this point.
