Garlic Parmesan Mashed Potatoes? image

i create my first mashed potatoes recipe and it on the sixth of garlic parmesan creation,also it an A+ with some garlic parmesan wings.

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 cup(s) shredded parmesan cheese,divided
1 tablespoon(s) olive oil
1 large vidalia onion,peeled and chopped
3/4 cup(s) grated romano cheese
6 large russet potatoes,peeled and quartered
1 package(s) (8 ounces) cream cheese,softened
1 bottle(s) garlic parmesan sauce
1 cup(s) heavy cream
2 egg whites
2 teaspoon(s) garlic pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.Coat a 2-quart baking dish with cooking spray.Add 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.Add chopped vidalia onion,saute for 5 minutes until browned.Stir in grated romano cheese.Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Place potatoes in a large saucepan;filled with water.Cover and bring to a boil.Cook for 25 minutes or until very tender;drain well.
  • In a large bowl,mash potatoes.Add cream cheese,garlic parmesan sauce,heavy cream,sauteed vidalia onion,egg whites and garlic pepper;beat until fluffy.
  • Transfer into a prepared baking dish.Cover and bake at 350 for 40 minutes or until heated through.Sprinkle with remaining shredded parmesan cheese.
