Galaxy Milky Way Cake image

My grandson who turned 19 on his last birthday wanted a cake that was different, that also included his favorite candy and cakec. I put it together for him and he loved it. We served it with vanilla ice cream on top and hot fudge sauce and kool whip

1 box duncan hines devil's food cake mix
4 large milky way candy bars
1/4 c caramel ice cream topping
1 can(s) sweetened condensed milk
1 can(s) chocolate fudge icing

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Mix cake using package directions but substituting milk instead of water and add an extra egg. Cut two of the candy bars into small slices and stir into the batter. Pour into prepared pans and bake using guidelines on package. Remove to cooling racks. Cool completely.
  • 2. In a double boiler, add the other two candy bars cut into small slices, into the top of double boiled. Stir until melted. Remove and let cool for a few minutes. Pour the condensed milk milted bars and 1/4 caramel topping into mixer bowl and mix until smooth. Spread half on top of bottom layer and the remainder on top. Frost the sides with chocolate fudge icing. I use store bought
