Fried Cabbage image

Country style fried cabbage. A family favorite.

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 head of cabbage core removed and cut into medium shreds
4 slice thick sliced bacon, diced
1 tsp vinegar
1 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt

Steps:

  • 1. Fry the diced bacon in a large skillet until the fat is rendered and the meat is done, add a additional tbsp of meat grease if needed. Add the cabbage and cover, cook over medium heat until the cabbage is tender and translucent. Add, vinegar, sugar and salt (pepper if desired) and stir well. Serve hot.
