This steak topping is so good! The recipe came from my Dad. I add some fresh basil and use olive oil when I make it now. Its simple to make and can be used with a less expensive cut of meat to make a special occasion dish.

Steps:
- Heat oil in a medium skillet. Add mushrooms and onions and cook for about 3-4 minutes, stirring. Add broth and cream and just bring to a boil, then reduce heat. Add basil, if using, and pepper to taste. Simmer until slightly thickened (just 3 or 4 minutes). Serve over grilled or broiled steak.
