French Toast Sticks image

Start the day with our French Toast Sticks. Our French Toast Sticks are divided into small portions and are perfect for the family to share!

Number Of Ingredients 12

1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup pecans, finely chopped
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1-1/4 cups milk
1/2 cup PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese Spread
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
8 slices Texas toast white sandwich bread, cut into thirds
2 Tbsp. butter, divided
1/2 cup maple-flavored or pancake syrup

Steps:

  • Mix flour, nuts, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in shallow bowl. Add milk, cream cheese spread, eggs and vanilla; mix until blended.
  • Melt 1 Tbsp. butter in large nonstick skillet or griddle on medium heat. Dip bread sticks into batter; drain excess batter back into bowl. Cook, in batches, 3 to 5 min. on each side or until golden brown.
  • Repeat with remaining butter and bread sticks. Serve warm with syrup for dipping.
