French Onion Soup, Mom image

A classic soup Mom made easy!

Number Of Ingredients 10

6 - onions, thinly sliced
1/4 cup(s) butter
3 tablespoon(s) flour
1 teaspoon(s) sugar
1 teaspoon(s) salt
1/4 teaspoon(s) pepper
6 cup(s) beef stock
1/2 cup(s) dry white wine
6 slice(s) french bread
- guyere cheese

Steps:

  • Saute onion in butter 3-5 min. Blend flour, sugar, salt and pepper. Stir in beef stock. Cover and simmer 1 hour. Add wine. Top bread with cheese and broil to melt the cheese. Place a piece of bread on top of each bowl of soup.
