French Onion Meatloaf? image

i create this new meatloaf recipe,with the power of french onion,it filled with diced onion sauteed in steak sauce and french onion dip,i bet this meatloaf is so delicious,and even good in sandwiches.

2 Tbsp margarine
1 large vidalia sweet onion,peeled and diced
3 tsp steak sauce
1 lb lean ground beef
2 egg whites
3/4 c panko bread crumbs
1 packet dry onion soup mix
3 tsp steak seasoning
1 3/4 c french onion dip,divided
5 Tbsp cream cheese,softened
5 white american cheese slices

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.Grease an 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  • 2. Melt margarine in a large skillet over medium-high heat.Add diced onion and saute for 7 minutes until are tender.Stir in steak sauce and simmer for 3 minutes.Set aside.
  • 3. In a large bowl,combine ground beef,egg whites,bread crumbs,dry onion soup mix,steak seasoning and 3/4 cup french onion dip;mix together until blended.
  • 4. In a small bowl,whisk cream cheese and remaining french onion dip together until combined and set aside.
  • 5. Transfer a meat mixture on a piece of waxed paper and flatten to a 1/2-inch thick rectangle.
  • 6. Spread french onion dip mixture into center of meat rectangle.Add sauteed onions over the filling and top with white american cheese slices,leaving a bit of space at one end for easier rolling and sealing.
  • 7. Pick up the edge of the waxed paper to roll the flattened meat into a log around the filling.Seal the ends and seam and place the loaf into a loaf pan.
  • 8. Bake in the preheated oven,about 35 minutes.Let stand for 6 minutes before slicing.
