French Fried Onion Topped Quiche - Steph image

This delightful quiche is one that a very good friend made for a church function I recently attended. This is a very versatile recipe with little preparation.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 cup(s) chopped broccoli or spinach
1 cup(s) chopped ham or bacon
1 cup(s) shredded cheddar cheese
7 - eggs, beaten
1 - deep dish pie crust
- french fried onions (such as durkees)

Steps:

  • Cook the broccoli or spinach; drain well. If using bacon, fry and crumble; if using ham, chop into small pieces. Put all of this in an unbaked pie crust; pour the beaten eggs over all and top with the cup of cheddar cheese.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Take out of oven and sprinkle crushed french fried onions over the top of the quiche. (Use enough to cover the entire top of the quiche). Put back in over for 5 - 10 minutes; watch carefully not to burn.
  • Let set for about 15 minutes before cutting. ENJOY! This is a versatile recipe and can even be made without any meat or sausage can be used in lieu of bacon or ham.
