Fredda's Slow Cooker Chili image

Why not make a bunch when leftovers freeze so well?

Number Of Ingredients 15

1 1/2 pound(s) ground beef or venison
1 1/2 pound(s) lean beef, such as sirloin or round steak, cut into small cubes
1-2 tablespoon(s) olive oil (if needed to brown meat)
3 medium onions, diced
3 - jalapeno peppers, seeded and diced
3 can(s) diced tomatoes (14.5 cans)
2 can(s) tomato juice (48 oz.)
1 1/2 cup(s) chili powder
1` tablespoon(s) paprika
1 tablespoon(s) ground cumin
2 tablespoon(s) garlic powder
1 can(s) wolf brand chili - no beans
3 can(s) ranch style beans (15 oz.)
1 tablespoon(s) honey
1-3 tablespoon(s) cornmeal (to thicken, as needed)

Steps:

  • Brown the ground beef and cubed meat.
  • In the slow cooker, combine the ground beef, lean beef, onion, peppers, diced tomatoes, tomato juice and spices. Cook on low for six hours.
  • Stir in the Wolf Brand Chili, Ranch Style Beans, honey & cornmeal.
  • Continue to cook on low for 1-3 hours.
  • Enjoy! Freezes beautifully.
