Steps:
- 1. Line a 8X8 square pan with wax paper. 2. In a heavy saucepan, over low heat, melt chocolate, condensed milk and salt. Stir until smooth. Remove from heat; stir in optional nuts and vanilla. Spread evenly in prepared pan. Chill two hours until firm. 3. Turn fudge onto cutting board; peel of paper and cut into squares. Store in refrigerator.
