Elaine's Cheesy Noodle Bake image

I actually did this recipe for company one time when I was planning on making baked macaroni and cheese, only to discover too late that I didn't have any elbow macaroni. This came out just as good and everyone just loved it. Hope you enjoy it, too!

Number Of Ingredients 7

3 c uncooked wide noodles
1 tsp salt
1/4 c butter
3 large eggs
1 c milk
1/2 c sour cream
2 to 3 c shredded cheddar cheese (not finley shredded. you can use more or less to taste).

Steps:

  • 1. Cook noodles according to package directions. When noodles are cooked, drain well. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and spray a 3 quart casserole dish with cooking spray.
  • 2. Add noodles to prepared casserole dish. Stir in butter and set aside. In a large measuring cup, add milk, eggs and salt. Whisk until well blended and pour over noodles. Add cheese and sour cream, stir until blended. Top with additional cheese, if desired.
  • 3. Bake at 375 degrees for about 30 minutes or until cheese it lightly browned and bubbly.
