EGGNOG POUND CAKE image

I love any kind of pound cake but egg nog yeah buddy!!!

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 c sugar
1/2 c butter
2 Tbsp rum or rum extract
1 tsp vanilla extract
5 egg yolks
1 3/4 c all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
3/4 c milk

Steps:

  • 1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a loaf pan. In mixing bowl beat on low speed sugar,butter,rum,vanilla and egg yolks for 30 seconds.
  • 2. scrape bowl constantly. Then put mixer on high and beat for 3 minutes. While batter is mixing, in smaller mixing bowl combine flour,baking powder,salt and nutmeg.
  • 3. Turn mixer back down to low and add flour mixture a little at a time. Then add some milk do this back and forth until all is mixed in with pound cake batter.
  • 4. Pour into loaf pan and bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool in loaf pan for at least 10 minutes before removing.
