Eggnog Chocolate Bread image

this is one of the best breads that i have ever made everyone loves it

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 1/4 c all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 c sugar
2 eggs
1 c eggnog
1/2 c butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 c chocolate chips, mini, optional

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 350. If you're using paper pans there's no need to grease them. If using ceramic or metal, grease bottom and the sides of 2- 7x3 inch baking loaf pans.
  • 2. In a mixing bowl add the flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and sugar. Stir until combined and make a well in the middle.
  • 3. In another bowl lightly beat the 2 eggs and mix them with the melted butter and vanilla extract.
  • 4. Pour the wet ingredients over the dry ones and stir just until combined.
  • 5. Pour the batter into the prepared pans, sprinkle the chocolate chips on top and bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
  • 6. Cool slightly in the pan before removing.
