While trying to find a yeast roll recipe that didn't intimidate me, I came across one in a cookbook that I bought from my daughter's Cheer Squad from 2003. Number Of Ingredients 6

1 pkg active dry yeast
2 Tbsp sugar
1 c warm (almost hot) water
2 c bread flour
1 tsp salt
2 Tbsp oil (i use canola oil)

Steps:

  • 1. Disolve yeast and sugar in water until it foams on top (about 5-10 minutes)
  • 2. Mix together flour & salt. Add water-yeast mixture. Mix in oil & stir until well blended. Cover with towel & let rise in a warm dry place, (about 45 minutes- 1 hour)
  • 3. Place on a floured surface & knead for a few minutes. Roll out & either cut out with a small biscuit cutter or cut into pieces & place them 3 to a cup in a muffin pan. Cover & let rise for another 45 minutes.
  • 4. Bake @ 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until tops are golden. Brush tops with melted butter.
