EASY SWISS FONDUE image

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 clove garlic, cut in half
1 cup white wine
2 cups (1/2 lb.) Gruyere cheese
2 cups (1/2 lb.) Emmentaler cheese
2 tablespoons flour
dash of nutmeg
1 tablespoon brandy
For dipping: cubed French bread, apple slices, olives

Steps:

  • Shred cheese in food processor. Rub a 2-qt. casserole with cut garlic. Add wine. Microwave at 50% (medium) 3 to 4 minutes or until bubbles form (do not boil). Combine cheese, flour, nutmeg and pepper. Add to wine. Microwave 4 1/2 to 6 1/2 minutes or until cheese is melted, stirring every other minute. Stir in brandy. Reheat if necessary.
