Easy Pressure Cooked Swiss Steak image

this is quick and easy and makes the meat fork tender. I serve this over mashed potatoes with a salad and its a great comfort food meal.

Number Of Ingredients 12

2 lb round steak
1/2 c flour
salt and pepper
3 Tbsp canola oil
1/2 c dry red wine
1 can(s) cream of mushroom soup
1 1/2 c crushed tomatoes
1 c beef broth
1 c sliced mushroom
4 clove garlic minced
1 Tbsp fresh rosemary minced
1 Tbsp fresh thyme minced

Steps:

  • 1. Cut meat into cubes. Mix flour together with salt and pepper. Dredge the meat in the flour mixture. Add oil to pressure cooker and sear the meat in oil to get a browned exterior.
  • 2. Remove the meat from the pressure cooker and deglaze with the red wine scrapping up bits from bottom of pan and let reduce to half.
  • 3. combine all remaining ingredients and pour in pan. Add meat back to pan and pressure cook for 20 minutes
