Steps:
- Cookies
- Cream butter and cream cheese. Blend in egg yolk and vanilla. Add cake mix 1/3 at a time, mix well. Add chopped walnuts. Chill dough 1/2 hour.
- Drop by tsp. full onto an ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8-10 min. at 375 until delicately browned. Frost right away.
- Frosting (make while dough cools)
- Blend cream cheese, milk, vanilla, and salt. Gradually add sugar until smooth.
- If you want both vanilla and chocolate frosting, divide in half.
- Melt 1/2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, cool, add to mixture before adding sugar. If all chocolate, add 2 oz. chocolate. This is best.....
- For easier frosting, place 2 sq. milk chocolate bar on cookie as soon as out of oven.
