Easy Cheesey Meatball Pie image

I received this recipe and picture yesterday from Betty Crocker. I haven't tried it yet, but I am going to real soon. It looked too good not to share. Hope you will enjoy it.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 1/2 cup(s) refrigerated, shredded hash browns from (1lb.4oz bag)
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
1/4 teaspoon(s) pepper
3/4 cup(s) frozen sweet peas, thawed and drained (green giants fresh steamers)
12 - frozen meatballs from a 16 oz. bag, thawed and cut in half
1 cup(s) shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup(s) original bisquick mix
1 cup(s) milk
2 large eggs

Steps:

  • 1 Heat oven to 400°F. Spray 9-inch glass pie plate or deep-dish pie plate with cooking spray. 2 In small bowl, toss potatoes with salt and pepper. Layer potatoes, peas, meatballs and cheese in pie plate. 3 In medium bowl, stir Bisquick mix, milk and eggs with fork or wire whisk until blended. Pour into pie plate. 4 Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until center is set and top is golden brown. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting. Expert Tips Frozen meatballs are available in a variety of flavors. Plain meatballs are used in this pie, but Swedish meatballs with subtle spices and Italian meatballs with a heartier flavor can also be used.
