Duck Dressing image

This is Louisiana afterall. We are always looking for different ways to cook our ducks.

Number Of Ingredients 11

4 ducks
1 stick margarine, melted
1 large package seasoned bread stuffing
1 1/2 c duck broth
1/2 c celery, diced
1 onion, chopped
1/2 c mayonnaise
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 c milk
1 can(s) cream of mushroom soup
1 c cheddar cheese, grated

Steps:

  • 1. Place ducks in saucepan. Cover with water. Boil until tender in covered saucepan. Save broth.
  • 2. Remove meat from the bones and chop.
  • 3. Mix well with all ingredients except soup and cheese.
  • 4. Put in large buttered casserole dish and let stand overnight in the refrigerator.
  • 5. Pour mushroom soup over casserole and bake for 1-1/2 hours at 400 degrees. Sprinkle grated cheese over top of casserole the last few minutes of cooking.
